Conclude your trip with leisure time on the stunning white sandy beaches of Hoi An.
Upon arrival at Phu Bai Airport, a professional tour guide and driver will welcome you to the pickup lobby. You will then enjoy a 30-minute drive to the center of Hue City while receiving information about the most visited spots, local culture, traffic, and cuisine. After arriving at your hotel, complete the check-in process and take to rest.
Minh Mang’s Tomb, Thuy Bieu Village, Thien Mu Pagoda & Hue Citadel
At 8:00 AM, commence the day with a transfer from your hotel to Emperor Minh Mang’s tomb, a remarkable architectural masterpiece seamlessly blending nature and imperial religious structures. This tomb, conceived during Minh Mang’s reign (1820–40), was constructed by his successor, Thieu Tri, with the collective efforts of ten thousand workers and artisans.
Next, embark on a scenic boat journey along the Huong River (or Perfume River) to Thuy Bieu Village. Thuy Bieu village is renowned for its tranquility, vast grapefruit orchards, and centuries-old houses. Take a bike ride around the village under the refreshing shade of the grapefruit trees, enjoying their pleasant aroma and the surrounding harvested straw. This presents an excellent opportunity for memorable photos and interactions with villagers tending to gardens and vegetable fields.
Lunch is served in the village. In the afternoon, proceed to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, one of Hue’s oldest pagodas dating back to 1601. This spiritual highlight boasts a majestic octagon tower and offers a beautiful view of the Perfume River.
Following this, return to the city center to explore Hue Citadel, the sole remaining symbol of Vietnam’s imperial city. The Hue Citadel represents a distinctive fusion of Vietnam’s traditional architectural principles, Eastern philosophy incorporating the five elements of yin and yang from China, and features influenced by Western military architecture in the Vauban style. The area is rich with significant sites, including the flag tower, the South gate, the Palace of Supreme Harmony, the Dynasty temple area, and the settlement area.
Conclude the day with a return to your hotel in the late afternoon. Enjoy the evening at your leisure, free to explore the city.
Cham Museum, Tra Que Vegetable Village, My Khe Beach
At 7:30 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel in Hoi An and taken via Mandarin Road and Sea Cloud Pass (Hai Van Pass). You will stop at the top of the pass to enjoy the breathtaking view of the ocean and Da Nang city. After arriving in Da Nang, you will visit the Cham Museum, which preserves the most important Cham culture collections in the world. Finally, you will take a walk on My Khe beach, where you can enjoy the view of the giant Goodness of Mercy statues in the Linh Ung Pagoda. Then, continue driving along the coastline to Hoi An ancient town.
After that, visit Tra Que Vegetable Village, which is famous for its aromatic herbs, mint, and basil. Wander through the village’s fields and engage with the local farmers. This is a good opportunity to observe the techniques of vegetable gardening. Finally, check into the hotel in the late afternoon and enjoy some free time.
At 9:00 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel for a Hoian excursion. Hoi An was once a typical Southeast Asian trading port from the 15th to the 19th century, and the Old Town is still well-preserved. The exchange of cultures is displayed on many historic buildings, religious sites, and daily life, enriched by the authentic lifestyle of local inhabitants.
The first stop is Cam Pho, one of the oldest communal houses in Hoi An. It was built in the shape of a Chinese character, which represents a place for worshipping and conducting trading business, as well as cultural exchange between the local community and Chinese and Japanese traders.
Take a leisurely walk to the Chua Cau, also known as the Japanese Covered Bridge, a symbol of Hoi An built in the 17th century to connect the Japanese quarter with the Chinese neighborhoods. The bridge’s original style has been meticulously preserved for over 400 years.
Continue your stroll through the town, immersing yourself in local life, and make a stop at Quan Thang ancient house. The architecture and sculptures of this house were crafted in Eastern style by famous Kim Bong carpentry village artisans, offering insight into Hoi An family life.
Next, we will visit Phuc Kien or Fujian Assembly Hall, constructed in the 17th century. This assembly hall served as a gathering place for residents, traders, and visitors from Fujian, China. It is also a religious site dedicated to honoring the deity Thien Hau. Admire the colorful fountains in the courtyard, the ornate gates surrounding the property, and the intricately carved dragons in the main room.
Conclude your exploration at the Hoian Central Market, situated riverside and known as the best place to witness local daily life. The bustling market is filled with stalls offering a wide variety of affordable food. Explore the fresh vegetable, meat, and fish market for a true taste of the local culinary scene.
The remainder of the day is yours to discover the city or return to your hotel.
At 8:00 AM, your tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel. Embark on a half-day excursion to the sacred valley of the Champa Kingdom – My Son Sanctuary, situated 40km from Hoi An Town. Once the crucial intellectual and religious center of the Champa Kingdom, My Son Sanctuary may have also served as a burial place for Cham monarchs.
Designated as a UNESCO World Culture Heritage site, My Son preserves 70 ruined architectural works of bricks and stones dating from the 7th to the 13th century. Your tour guide will provide insights into the cultural, historical, and architectural values as you leisurely explore each relic. The tour also includes a traditional Champa dancing show before departing from the sanctuary.
Following the excursion, return to Hoi An. Enjoy the freedom to explore the town or simply relax on the beach.
Enjoy a free and easy day – relax on the beach with family and friends or take a stroll through the old town. Discover unique gifts, create your journey, and embrace the freedom to make worthy memories.
Indulge in free and leisurely moments at your hotel until a private driver picks you up for a 45-minute journey to Da Nang Airport (international or domestic hall according to your request).
Keep in mind that international flights necessitate arriving at the airport 3 hours before departure, domestic flights require 2 hours.
