This group tour spans 3 days and 2 nights, guiding you from Hanoi to the captivating Ba Be National Park. During your journey, you will explore Ba Be Lake, Vietnam’s largest natural freshwater lake, renowned for its remarkable biodiversity, captivating geological formations, and pristine primary forests.
Itinerary
Our tour guide will arrange a car pickup from your hotel between 7:30-8:00 am, as an early start is essential for the exciting day ahead. While en route to Ba Be National Park, we will make a stop at a local village, where you can savor lunch at a restaurant. Our journey will then lead us through picturesque mountains and tea plantations along the road to Ba Be Lake.
Next, we will venture to Coc Toc, a Tay village characterized by traditional stilt houses. The warm and welcoming Tay community is known for embracing visitors, providing insight into their way of life, which primarily revolves around fishing on the lake and rice cultivation.
You will experience an immersive stay in a homestay here, offering a close-up view of Tay culture and daily routines. After settling in at the homestay, your afternoon will be free for your personal preferences, though we recommend taking a stroll to explore the stunning surroundings. Subsequently, we will transport you to Hua Ma Cave, renowned for its countless stalactites and stalagmites.
The remainder of the day is at your discretion, and we offer optional activities such as guided walks or bike rides around Coc Toc Village and kayaking excursions on the lake. Alternatively, you can choose to unwind and relish the tranquil vistas-your day, your choice.

On your second day in Ba Be, you will embark on an adventurous trek, immersing yourself in the park’s diverse and captivating landscapes. Your guide will commence the journey by leading you to Coc Toc Village, allowing you to interact with the local Tay fishermen who call this place home. You’ll cross Pelu Stream and traverse some challenging terrain, with the promise of a splendid reward awaiting you at higher altitudes—breathtaking mountain vistas.
Ascending further, you will pause at a H’mong village, where a delightful picnic lunch awaits. Following a satisfying meal and some well-deserved rest, your trek will continue through expansive mountain ranges and valleys. You’ll have the opportunity to witness the stilt houses of the Dzao people and pay a visit to one of their local schools. Later, you’ll explore a second H’mong Village before returning to your lakeside homestay.”

After a hearty breakfast, we commence the final day of the tour by embarking on a boat trip across the lake. How you choose to spend your time on the boat is entirely up to you—you can either relax and savor the picturesque views or take a refreshing swim in the cool waters. The surroundings will mesmerize you with stunning karst formations adorned with patches of untamed vegetation and teeming with wildlife.
Continuing along the Nang River, the boat journey provides an opportunity to explore Puong Grotto’s caves, where you can admire the mesmerizing stalactites and stalagmites formed through river erosion. Additionally, you can observe the thriving bat colony that calls this place home, numbering in the thousands.
After your lake exploration, you’ll have a chance to rest as we drive you back to Hanoi, allowing you to take in the scenic beauty along the way. A stop for lunch at a local restaurant is included before reaching Hanoi, typically around 17:30. It’s at this point that you’ll bid farewell to your guide, driver, and fellow tour group members.

CHILDREN POLICY:
– Children aged 1 to 4 can join the tour for free when accompanied by 2 paying adults (their parents must cover all other expenses, and children aged 1 to 3 do not have their own seats in the car). If one person travels with a child aged 1-3, the child will be charged 50% of the adult price (this includes meals and a separate seat).
– Children aged 5 to 9 will be charged 75% of the tour fee (they will have their own seats in our car and meals but will share the hotel room with their parents).
– Children aged 10 and above are considered adults.
NOTICE:
– The itinerary may be adjusted due to weather conditions or traffic delays.
– After the tour, we will drop you off at your hotel or a location in Hanoi Old Quarter or Hanoi Opera House. Please note that on Fridays to Sundays, when the streets are closed to traffic, we may not be able to drop you directly at your hotel, and you may need to walk a short distance.
– Check-in time is 14:00, and check-out time is before 12:00.
– Any cancellation must be made in writing and will only be effective upon acknowledgment by V.I.T Travel.
– If you cancel more than 15 days before the travel date, there is no charge. However, cancellations made 15 days or less before the tour starts will incur a 30% surcharge. For cancellations made 7 days or less before the tour, a 55% charge of the total amount applies, and for cancellations made 2 days or less before the tour, the full amount is charged.
– No refunds will be provided in the case of ‘force majeure’ (unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control).
– If a client leaves the program after it has begun or misses any scheduled sightseeing or visit or fails to show up, no refunds will be given. Please make sure to have your passport with you..
– You should bring necessary medicines to prevent insect bites and common diseases.
– Please bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and towel if needed.
– The tour guide may adjust the schedule, but the destinations will remain the same.
– If there are fewer than 6 tourists, the driver may also serve as the tour guide.
– Vegetarian participants can bring their own food if necessary.
– Avoid bringing excessively large suitcases with you.
– After the tour, we will drop you off at Hanoi Opera House.
CUSTOMERS’ RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Customers are responsible for their health, including any illnesses and chronic conditions (such as cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, osteoarthritis, etc.), congenital diseases, latent conditions, HIV/AIDS, mental and neurological disorders, and pregnancy. These conditions are not covered by insurance. When necessary, customers must provide their own health commitment for participation in the tour.
– The tour organizer is not responsible for cases where customers do not report their illnesses, provide untruthful declarations, or for cases beyond the coverage of the tour.
– Customers must safeguard their belongings at all times and in all locations during the trip. The tour organizer is not responsible for any loss of money, identification, airline tickets, personal belongings, or other property of customers during the trip.
