Embark on a one-day boat excursion to uncover the beauty of this splendid natural lake situated within Ba Be National Park. Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to experience breathtaking landscapes and immerse yourself in authentic local culture. Your journey will include visits to a magnificent cave, the mesmerizing Dau Dang waterfall, the serene An Ma temple, and the exploration of the legendary Widow Island’s story.
At 7:30 am, your local guide will either pick you up from your hotel or meet you at our designated meeting point, which is Ba Be in Bo Lu, to kickstart your thrilling day within the confines of Ba Be National Park. Your journey begins with a serene boat ride on Ba Be Lake. The skilled boatman will navigate you through the initial section of the lake known as Pe Lam, and subsequently, you’ll glide past two islands named Po Gia Mai. As you continue along the lakeshore, you’ll be treated to the sight of ancient tree roots gracefully draping into the water, colossal and elongated.
Moving onward, you’ll encounter the slightly smaller Lake Two and Lake Three, where the crystal-clear, deep waters are frequented by yellow monkeys who descend to drink and fish. Your voyage will lead you to the Nang River, located at the terminus of the lake. Here, the boatman will steer upriver to Puong Cave, an expansive cavern characterized by a cavernous entrance adorned with numerous colossal stalactites. Within its shadowy depths, you’ll discover the dwelling place of thousands of bats. The upper part of the dry cave has even yielded archaeological remnants, providing insights into the prehistoric people who once inhabited this area.
Continuing your journey down the Nang River, the boatman will make a riverside stop for you to visit a Tay ethnic village. A guided walking tour through the village will offer you a glimpse into the local way of life and their agricultural practices. Your route will lead you to the enchanting Dau Dang Waterfall, where you’ll enjoy lunch at a nearby riverside restaurant within the village.
Upon your return to Ba Be Lake, you will have the opportunity to visit An Ma Temple. Following this, a brief jungle trek will take you to the wharf. If you still have energy to spare, you can opt for a kayaking adventure. This marks the conclusion of your tour.
